Bogazici University Medical Imaging Laboratories (BUMIL) consists of seven multidisciplinary research laboratories that have conducted research projects on medical imaging under the Institute of Biomedical Engineering. The laboratories that are a part of BUMIL are Imaging Instrumentation Laboratory,Neurosignal Analysis Laboratory, Cellular Imaging and Electrophysiology Laboratory, Computational Imaging Laboratory, Behaviour and Biology Laboratory, Biodesign Laboratory, Biomechanics Laboratory  and Robotics Laboratory. BUMIL was originally funded by Prof. Dr. Cengizhan Öztürk in 2002, and has evolved into an umbrella structure that encompasses multiple laboratories underneath working on technology development and/or applications of medical imaging since 2018.
