Entering & Exiting Campus
Visitors and students coming to BUMIL to the Bogazici University North
Campus will only be granted access to the campus through two entrances:
" A Gate (Main Entrance) at Zincirlikuyu-Bebek
Street - enter and exit 24 hours daily
" Side Vehicle Entrance at Bebek Yolu
Street
Unfortunately visitors have no permission to drive in the north campus.
Visitors must park in private parking lots or on the road sides near the
north campus. Visitors can park in a visitor parking lot in south campus.
There are the Campus Shuttles riding between South and North Campuses.
Until you have an appointment with faculty stuff, you may get a visitor
pass at the parking entrance, and might drive with that permission into
the campus.
Visitors arriving by public buses will be dropped off at the Bogazici
University stop right in front of the South Campus Main Entrance. They
can also exit in the previous bus stop namely Nispetiye Cad. near The
North Campus entrance, Gate A, is in two minutes walking distance to both
bus stops.
Visitors entering the North Campus main gate,
Pass the University Library on the left, and follow the few steps down
to open central area, Enter the Science and Engineering Laboratory Building
on your right, Turn left, (follow signs to Biomedical Engineering Institute),
and on your left you will see the entrance of BUMIL (room # 102).
From Ataturk International Airport
Take the HAVAS Shuttles right in front of the arrival.
The departure times are;
Airport - Akmerkez: Shuttles are available between 07.00-21.00 in every
hour.
Akmerkez - Airport: Shuttles are available between 07.00-21.00 in every
hour.
(Arrival time: Approximately 45 minutes)
Ticket Fee: 8.000.000TL (VAT inc., as of Dec. 2003, prices might change).
The passenger dropping spots are respectively Merter and Okmeydaný,
on the way to Akmerkez from the Airport. Visitors must travel until the
last stop at the entrance of the indoor parking-area of the Akmerkez shopping
center.
From there you may take a cab, and drive about 10 min. to the Bogazici
University North Campus Entrance (Bogazici Universitesi Kuzey Kampus Girisi),
or
Take the public bus right in front of the Akmerkez shopping center, and
ride until Bogazici University bus stops.
From Taksim Square:
Take the public bus number 559, Taksim - Rumelihisarustu.
(Arrival time: Approximately 60 minutes)
Exit on the bus stop at Bogazici University South Campus Entrance, walk
to the North Campus Entrance
A fast alternative: Take the Metro
subway system's Taksim toward 4.Levent line and get off at the last station.
(takes about 15 minutes). Take a cab to the Bogazici University North
Campus. (takes about 10 minutes)
